Unpainted exterior plastic parts of the car become faded over time from exposure to ultraviolet radiation and precipitation. From this, the car, even with relatively fresh paint, does not look very good to say the least. Faded plastic can be removed quickly and easily, and for free.
What you need:
- mounting hair dryer.
Plastic color recovery process
Faded plastic must be wetted and washed well with detergent, wiped dry and, for reliability, degreased with alcohol or solvent.
Next, you should wait a couple of minutes for all moisture to completely evaporate.
Then an assembly hair dryer is taken, and the part is heated in circular motions in a row, but without delay in one place.
Plastic tends to recover with strong heat, so the fading will go away right before our eyes.
During work, you need to try not to direct the hair dryer at glass and mirrors, so that they do not crack from the hot stream, and also do not overheat the paint.
