If you missed the moment of planting garlic in the fall, then in the spring, in order to get the same powerful plants as the overwintered ones, you can root them in one simple way. The teeth sprouted by it will eventually give a rich harvest, no worse than winter garlic. The method provides 100% survival rate.
What you need:
- curly plastic bottles of 0.5 l;
- scissors.
The rooting process of garlic
It is necessary to cut off the top of the chives with a sharp knife without disassembling the head.
Then containers for germination from PET bottles are prepared. Their neck is cut off, then a wide ring closer to the middle.
The cut ring is inserted into the bottom of the bottle, after which the protruding part is cut off.
This will narrow the resulting cup so that you can put the head of garlic in it. If that is very small, then the ring should be made from the neck.
The glasses are filled with water, then the heads are inserted into them so that their radicular bundle reaches moisture. The teeth will germinate very quickly and start drinking water.
Within a week, each tooth will have a large root and a long feather.
You need to disassemble the head and plant the garlic in open ground or pots with nutritious soil.
For better acceleration, plantings are watered abundantly.
