When installing and repairing pipelines, clamps are used, consisting of two halves, pulled together by two bolts. This is a very secure and comfortable fit. A self-tapping screw or screw can be welded to one of the halves of the clamp, thereby allowing it to be attached to the wall. Also, if you put a rubber gasket under the clamp, you can use it to close the fistulas in the pipes under pressure. This is a versatile and useful mount. It is not difficult to make such clamps with your own hands using a simple device.
- Steel plate 16-20 mm;
- steel round timber 10-20 mm.

The process of making the fixture, and the bending of the clamps
From a thick-walled steel plate, it is necessary to cut a workpiece with an approximate size of 40×80 mm. A longitudinal cut is made in it, into which a strip for bending the clamps can be placed.
The resulting workpiece is welded flat on the rail so that the cut remains open. Instead of a rail, you can use an anvil, or screw the part to a large, heavy wooden deck.
With a small offset from the workpiece, it is necessary to weld 2 round timber fingers in the transverse direction. The gap between them is about 10-15 mm.
To use the device, you need to prepare and mark the steel strips. Their length should be half the circumference of the pipe for which the clamp is made, and plus 20-25 mm per eyelet at each end. On one side of the workpiece, 2 marks are placed for bending the lugs, and on the second another pair, so that when bending along them, you end up with a U-shaped bracket.
Now the strip is inserted along the marks into the cut of the device, and bends with a hammer. First, the eyes are bent, then the corners are made on the remaining marks.
To round a U-shaped bracket, you must insert it between two fingers on the rail. Then, by blowing a hammer on the edge of the eyelet, and by smoothly moving the workpiece from edge to middle, we round off the clamp. After that, the workpiece is turned over, and similarly knocked out from the second end. As a result, we get a semiring.
Now all that remains is to drill the lugs. This method can be used to make clamps for both round and shaped pipes. In the second case, they do not need to be rounded after bending. U-shaped brackets can also be used as handles for drawers and doors.
