How to make homemade cheese with herbs and caraway seeds

We all know how important eating in the morning is. Breakfast gives us energy and strength for productive work, and eating in the morning promotes a better metabolism. However, there is not always the opportunity or desire to cook something in the morning, even boiling oatmeal or eggs is sometimes lazy.

If you are a lazy person or preening yourself in the morning for so long that there is no time for cooking, then black bread and cheese sandwiches with herbs and caraway seeds are the perfect breakfast option for you. They can be made in a matter of seconds and just take with you to work if you don’t have time to eat at home.

But making homemade cheese will still take you a couple of hours, so it’s better to do this in advance. And we have already prepared a great recipe for you!


  • 1 liter of kefir
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 tsp L. Salts
  • 1/3 tsp red hot pepper
  • pinch of cumin
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • a small bunch of different greens: dill, cilantro, green onions


  1. First, pour milk and kefir into a saucepan and place on the stove, wait until the milk mixture heats up well (but you don’t need to bring it to a boil). While you wait, beat the eggs with salt and, when the mixture becomes hot, pour in the eggs and stir over low heat until the whey separates.

  3. Then turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for about 2 minutes.
  4. Take a colander, cover it with gauze, folded in 2 layers, and pour the cheese mass into it. Chop the herbs and garlic and add to the cheese along with the red pepper.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly with a spoon, twist the cheesecloth in a knot and let the whey drain.
  6. When the whey is completely drained, unwind the cheesecloth and place the cheese on a platter. On top of the cheese, covered with gauze, place a closed jar of water: it will act as oppression to remove excess moisture.
  7. It remains only to leave the cheese in the fridge overnight, and in the morning you will already have a delicious snack.
  8. It is clear that it is not always possible to eat a bowl of soup for breakfast, but this does not mean that you need to deprive yourself of breakfast. You can always find a quick snack or learn how to cook quickly.
