Motorcycle or car tires can be used to make virtually indestructible home slaps. It is not easy to make them the first time, but with experience it will take less and less time.
- old tire;
- glue for rubber;
- short nails.
Slippers making process
To sew a slap, you need a part of the tread from the tire. Ideally, use a motorcycle tire as it is smooth.
You need to cut 2 soles from it. To do this, you can circle the left and right factory slap.
To cut the soles as accurately as possible, it is better to hammer the blade from the mounting knife into the end of the board and cut it.
The edge is removed on the soles, and the protector is cut with a bent in half blade from a razor.
On the side, transverse holes are cut into them with a knife for the introduction of straps, which are fixed by slippers on the leg. You also need to pierce the sole on the toe side to insert the belt between your thumb and middle toe.
2 center straps are cut from the tire. On the one hand, they are made thin and smooth so as not to rub the leg between the toes. From the wide edge, wide holes are cut into them for transverse straps.
Cross straps are passed through the hole in the center straps. Then their thin edges are inserted into the puncture in the toe of the sole. The ends must be glued in and nailed down. Then the transverse straps are also fixed in the side holes of the sole. Their height is adjusted to fit the leg. To fasten them, you will need to drive in 2-3 nails on each side.
The hammered nails need to be bent on the back. Then you need to nail the heel to the slippers from another layer of the tire. So it will be more convenient to walk in them.
