How to make a tomato snack

We will tell you how to make a quick tomato snack that will delight the whole family

Tomatoes are already ripe in my dacha. The harvest this year is great, so there is an opportunity to experiment and come up with new recipes. Spins for the winter – it goes without saying, but you need to cook something right now.

For this, I have one terrific recipe. This simple tomato and cheese appetizer will win your heart, I’m sure.


  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. l. grated cheese
  • 3 tbsp. l. bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. l. wheat flour
  • 50 ml vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste


Wash the tomatoes and cut them into 0.5 cm thick slices. Spread them out on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. Then salt and pepper the circles.

Now is the time to prepare the breading, which will consist of three layers. Pour flour into one container, beat an egg in the second, and mix hard cheese and bread crumbs in the third. By the way, you can salt not the tomatoes themselves, but the beaten egg.

You can start frying. Roll the circles first in flour, then in an egg, and then in breading with cheese. Then put them on a hot skillet and fry on both sides until golden brown. Transfer the finished tomatoes to paper towels to absorb excess fat. And then on a plate – and you can serve it to the table.

A simple summer snack is ready! I also like to sprinkle tomatoes with fresh herbs or serve with a creamy sauce, but even without that, the appetizer is swept off the table in an instant. After all, the combination of crisp crust, juicy filling and cheese flavor cannot leave anyone indifferent!
