In hardware stores, a folding stop of the “goat’s leg” type is sold, the main disadvantage of which is hard contact with the floor. As a result, the door leaf, when fixed, as if stumbles upon a leg and “rears up”. Due to the additional load, the “goat’s leg” can withstand only 1-2 years of operation. Our retainer will be devoid of this drawback and therefore will serve for a very long time.

Door Stopper Manufacturing Process
According to the markings, we cut out an elongated element in the form of a regular trapezoid with the sides beveled at 45 degrees using a grinder using a grinder.
From the resulting element, we remove the upper short wall almost flush with the inner sides of the side walls.
Along the edges on the central line in the lower long wall of the element, mark and drill two holes.
We cut out another element from the same square pipe about two times shorter than the first and with lateral angles at 60 degrees, from which we also remove the upper short wall.
In the side walls of both elements along the central vertical, 2/3 of the height from the base (large side), we outline and drill holes.
In a square pipe of a certain length and cross-section, we make holes at the edges in two opposite walls.
Insert the ends of the square pipe between the side walls of the fragments and fix them with bolts and nuts. Moreover, the fragments should turn freely on the bolts in both directions until they stop.
We fasten the landing pad (large fragment) in a vertical position to the bottom of the door leaf in the area of the outer corner with two screws.
We place inside the landing pad on top, focusing on the upper screw as the center, a ring magnet of suitable sizes.
We attach anti-slip self-adhesive plates to the outer side of the lower wall (sole) of the smaller fragment (stop).
Our stop-stop is completely ready to perform its functions. We lower the lower movable stop anywhere and the door will be securely locked at any opening angle. Moreover, due to the mobility of the lower stop, the door does not “rears” and does not put pressure on it with its weight.
When there is no need for a latch-stop, we raise it, and it is attracted by a magnet and does not interfere with opening and closing the door leaf.
