To squeeze out juice from a large number of apples, pears, plums, peaches, apricots or grapes, you need a press. They can process hundreds of kilograms of fruit in a matter of hours. For greater efficiency, you need to load crushed fruits into it. Let's consider how you can make a 2-in-1 juicer capable of simultaneously crushing fruit puree and squeezing juice from it to dry cake.
- shaped pipes of different diameters;
- 1/2 inch pipe;
- Sheet steel;
- steering rod from a car;
- threaded rod;
- large pressing tank;
- crusher tank 8-10 l;
- powerful electric motor with a pulley;
- shaft with pulley and bearing;
- ball valve;
- oak slats;
- hydraulic jack 3-5 t.
Juicer making process
The frame of the juicer is welded from the profile pipe and channel.
Its height should allow you to insert a large tank inside and place a jack on top of it. An extension is made at the bottom of the frame or a sheet steel sole is welded to keep the frame stable. In the upper channel of the frame from the bottom in the center, you need to make a slide in order to hang the jack for them.
A large pressing tank is installed at the bottom of the frame. In the example, a 72 liter stainless steel container is used. On top of it, on the side, you need to fix a smaller tank with a volume of 8-10 liters, in which the fruits will be crushed. For it, a support from a profile pipe is welded. The tank itself is installed on it temporarily for fitting, as it still needs some work.
A mount for the crusher motor is made to the side of the suspended tank.
For this, a hinge is made from a pipe and a stud, and a plate is welded to it.
The mount is welded into the frame, and the motor is suspended from it with the pulley down. An old tie rod is installed between the tank support and the plate. This will allow tensioning of the crusher belt. Also at this stage, you can connect a power wire to the motor and install a switch.
At the bottom, in the wall of a smaller container, a small window is drilled, and a visor is boiled over it.
This is necessary so that in the future the fruit puree falls strictly into a large tank. A hole is drilled in the center of the bottom of the container. On the reverse side, along its circumference, a piece of pipe is welded in, and a bearing is pressed into it. Then 2 knives are cut out of stainless steel for crushing.
They are welded or screwed crosswise onto the shaft, which is inserted into the bottom of the tank. At the exit, a pulley is put on it, fixed with a key and tightened with a nut through a washer. The washer can be folded down to prevent the nut from loosening. The pulley must be extended so that when the tank is installed on the support, it is opposite the motor pulley.
The crusher tank is installed in place. A belt is pulled between the pulleys using a tie rod.
A fitting is welded into the bottom of a large tank, then a ball valve is screwed onto it.
A pair of gratings are made from oak laths at the bottom of the press. You also need to make a cylinder of rails inside the tank. To do this, they can be connected to each other by screwing them onto a metal tape. Also, a cover for the jack support is made from the same rail.
If the used crusher tank is not high, then it can be extended with a removable funnel so that the puree does not fly into the face during crushing.
A polypropylene bag is installed inside the wringer. Then the crusher turns on and the fruit is poured into it until it crushes a full bag of puree. Then it is twisted and shifted with a lattice. The next bag is installed on it if the tank is not full.
After filling the tank, the last bag is also twisted, and a lid is placed on top of it.
Then it is squeezed down with a jack.
If its height is not enough to completely squeeze out the cake, you need to put an oak block between it and the lid.
When the tank is filled, the tap opens and the juice is drained into the bucket provided. Then the jack is unclenched, the cake is shaken out of the bags and the cycle is repeated.
This juicer is very productive.
When the crusher is equipped with a 2.2 kW motor, it takes 30 seconds to crush one bucket of apples. It is not difficult to wash it. After use, the juicer can be easily disassembled to store in parts. The frame itself can be left in the open air.
