How to make a chocolate cherry cake

There are times when the blues sneak up on you and overpower you. You can succumb to this weakness, or you can fight it. I am an adherent of the second option. When I’m sad, I prefer to make homemade cakes. Cookies, pies or, as the most effective means, cakes.

And today we will share with you a homemade cherry cake recipe that will help cure any melancholy.

Chocolate cake with cherries

Ingredients for the nut crust:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g flour
  • 3 tbsp. l. cocoa
  • 0.5 tbsp. chopped nuts

Ingredients for the chocolate crust:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara
  • 6 tbsp. l. flour
  • 3 tbsp. l. cocoa
  • 2 tbsp. l. baking powder

Ingredients for the cherry layer:

  • 3 packs of cherry jelly
  • 0.5 kg cherries

Ingredients for the first cream:

  • 400 ml sour cream
  • 200 g sugar
  • 300 g boiled condensed milk
  • 25 g gelatin

Ingredients for the second cream:

  • 400 ml sour cream
  • 200 g sugar
  • 25 g gelatin

Preparation:

Let’s start with the cakes. First of all, prepare the nut crust. To do this, beat the whites separately, separately the yolks with sugar. Then mix, add dry ingredients and knead the dough.

One cake was baked from this dough. When it cools down, choose a center from it so that the sides remain. Fry the crumb crumbs in the oven.

Now make the jelly. Dilute three packs of jelly in 750 ml of hot water. Cool and stir with cherries. Pour the nut crust with this mixture, distributing the cherries evenly.

In the meantime, you can make the chocolate cakes. Knead the dough in the same way as for the nut crust. Two cakes are baked from this dough. Leave to cool.

Now let’s get into the cream. For two types of cream, dilute gelatin separately (for 25 grams of gelatin, 100 ml of water). First cream: whisk sour cream with sugar, add condensed milk and gelatin. Whip all this until smooth.

Now the second cream: whisk sour cream with sugar. Now add the crumbs from the nut crust to the cream, but not all, so that the cream does not turn out to be too clogged. Add gelatin and beat everything well with a mixer.

Now it’s up to the little thing – to collect the cake. First, the chocolate crust, on top, spread the cream with condensed milk, then the nut crust with jelly, on top of the second cream with crumbs. Top with a chocolate cake. You can leave some cream and grease the sides. You can decorate the cake to your taste.
