For the first time in 22 years, the Russian national team won 6 (out of 12 possible) medals at the World Figure Skating Championship. In women’s single skating, Anna Shcherbakova won ($ 64,000 in prize money), 2nd place went to Elizaveta Tuktamysheva ($ 47,000), 3rd place went to Alexandra Trusova ($ 33,000).
In the sports pair competitions, Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov ($ 90,000) won gold, and Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky won bronze ($ 45,000). Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov – “gold” in ice dancing (90 thousand dollars).
Prizes were also given to Russian figure skaters who did not make it to the podium: Mikhail Kolyada earned $ 11,000 (5th place among men), Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov – $ 26,000 (4th place in pairs competition), Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin – 16 thousand (5th place in dances).
