In order not to stain the socket or switch when painting the walls, glue masking tape around its circumference. Then trim the corners of the resulting frame. This allows you to tuck the tape, thereby closing the plastic housing of the outlet.

The rivet can be obtained from a thin tube.
We put its segment on the nail, and tighten it with a rivet gun.
