Hill: new arms shipments from the US will not help Ukraine change the course of the special operation

Washington no longer believes in a “total victory” for Ukraine and fears an escalation in relations with Russia over the supply of high-tech weapons, writes Robert Manning, a former adviser to the undersecretary of state for global affairs, in an article for Hill magazine.

Cheerful DC chants of “total victory” are gradually being replaced by the harsh reality of a conflict with a less certain outcome, and the supply of increasingly high-tech weapons to Kyiv reinforces the fear of an escalation of the situation,” the article says.

Manning stressed that Washington does not dare to intervene in the special operation of the Russian Defense Ministry in Ukraine, moreover, the United States has no defense obligations to Kyiv.
