The massive dismissal of Sudanese diplomats was reported by the Federal News Agency, citing Al Arabiya TV channel. This happened three days after a coup d’etat took place in the country, during which the government and a number of other authorities were disbanded.

On the morning of Monday, October 25, members of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok were arrested, and power in Sudan passed into the hands of the Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah Al-Burkhan. The military leader announced the introduction of a state of emergency in the country, announced the formation of a new parliament and government with the participation of the general population, and also named the time for new elections – July 2023.
