Haftar army intends to retreat from Tripoli on the occasion of the Muslim holiday


The Libyan National Army, under the command of Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, intends to withdraw its troops from Tripoli 2-3 km in order to so that the residents of the city can move freely to celebrate the Muslim festival of the burning of Eid al-Fitr (Uraza-bairam among the Turkic peoples). This was reported by the official representative of the LNA, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari.

It is noted that the withdrawal of troops will begin on Wednesday at noon local time (13: 00 Moscow time).

On Monday, the Libyan National Accord Government forces (PNS) led by Faiz Sarraj announced full control over El-Batu air base, where until recently they had been LNA units of Field Marshal Haftar.
