The ACM Awards took place in the USA yesterday, which traditionally honors representatives of country music. Due to the coronavirus, its format was changed - the participants of the ceremony performed from different places in the city of Nashville. The guests of the award were Gwen Stefani, Taylor Swift, Pink, Carrie Underwood and many other stars.
The event was hosted by Keith Urban. His wife Nicole Kidman, who, as a rule, always accompanies her husband at such events, did not keep him company this time, but watched what was happening online.
Despite the format, the show turned out to be bright and original. Some of the artists performed separately, others joined in duets. For example, for the first time, Gwen Stefani and her beloved Blake Shelton performed together at the awards. The couple, who could not come to Nashville, performed their new song Happy Anywhere from Los Angeles, where they are currently engaged in the project "The Voice".
Awards this evening went to Maren Morris ("Singer of the Year"), Luke Combs ("Singer of the Year", "Album of the Year" for the disc What You See Is What You Get), Old Dominion ("Group of the Year", "Song of the Year" for the song One Man Band), Carrie Underwood ("Artist of the Year"), Thomas Rhett ("Artist of the Year"), Blake Shelton ("Single of the Year" for the song God's Country), Thomas Rhett ("Video of the Year" for the video Remember You Young ), Hillary Lindsay (Songwriter of the Year), Tenneill Towns (New Artist of the Year), Riley Greene (New Artist of the Year), Dan + Shay (Duet of the Year).
