Gunzburg: COVID-19 vaccine for children may be called “Sputnik M”

The coronavirus vaccine for children, being created at the Gamaleya Center, may be called Sputnik M. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the director of the center, Alexander Gintsburg.

He admitted that the children’s vaccine will be called “Sputnik”. However, the letter “M” can be added to the name, by analogy with the BCG vaccine for children.

“As I understand it, (means. – Ed.)“ Small ”. Maybe there will be letter M in this vaccine, ”Gunzburg said.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, reported that in the Russian Federation, 12-13% of all patients with coronavirus are children. According to the minister, there are currently a large number of requests for a vaccine for children.
