Gulen’s entourage called false reports of his poisoning

Sezay Sablak, vice-chairman of the Golden Generation worship and retreat center in the US state of Pennsylvania, said reports of the fatal poisoning of opposition Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen were lies, RIA Novosti reported.

“This is fake news. I saw him five days ago, I will see him again today, ”he said.

The local police said they did not have data that would confirm the reports of Gulen’s death.

In Ankara, Gulen’s movement is considered a terrorist organization (FETO – Fethullah terrorist organization). According to the Turkish authorities, it was involved in the attempted coup d’état in 2016. Then over 80 thousand people were arrested for participating in the rebellion, more than 160 thousand civil servants, including the military, were fired or suspended from work. The leader of the movement, based in the United States, condemned the riot and denied any involvement in the incident.
