Ukraine remains reluctant to reject the idea of military suppression of Donetsk and Lugansk, said Boris Gryzlov, Russia’s envoy to the contact group on Donbass. RIA Novosti reports.
According to Gryzlov, the unwillingness of the Ukrainian authorities to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully is “a very serious problem.” According to the plenipotentiary, Kiev adheres to an aggressive and irresponsible line of behavior.
It is noted that for the first time representatives of the public of Donetsk and Lugansk joined the work of the contact group. “We welcome this expansion of the dialogue,” said Gryzlov. He added that Kiev took the opportunity to expand the delegation last year.
On the eve of the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin announced his readiness to hold a second referendum on the status of Donbass.
