Invisible to the naked eye, gold particles are surprisingly better than all synthesized expensive drugs, able to cure inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is also called green cancer.
This chronic disease, which includes ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, leads to a gradual weakening of the human body. Today, there is no cure for IBD, it remains with a person all his life. The symptoms are treated with very serious remedies with strong side effects. And often the treatment is accompanied by new health problems.
Scientists are constantly looking for effective and safe treatment of these inflammatory processes. And now Chinese doctors have announced a breakthrough that could bring relief to many millions of people. Note that it was Chinese medicine that proposed and substantiated this new type of treatment. But until recently, her successes were limited to acupuncture and other traditional medicine procedures, but today she is working in breakthrough areas in the fight against incurable ailments. China has the latest state-of-the-art laboratories that compete with each other. Trained at the best medical faculties of American and European universities, Chinese scientists realize their knowledge in their homeland, and if they remain in the West, it is only to get as much information as possible for their country.
Scientists gave gold nanoparticles to mice suffering from colitis, and as a result, the disease was defeated: the content of antioxidants and inhibited anti-inflammatory cytokines increased in rodents. There were no side problems observed.
The ultra-small gold nanoparticles are much more effective than traditionally taken natural enzymes. Preparations with gold are much cheaper and easier to store. They are not affected by temperature, they are resistant to acids and easily reach the affected areas.
According to doctor Fei Wang from the Sun Yat Sen Hospital, a decrease in the inflammatory process was observed in mice already on the first day after the drug was applied. The great advantage of this remedy is that it can be taken in the form of pills and no special procedures are required for this. Wang notes that gold nanoparticles are a promising treatment strategy and there is already an experimental base for its clinical applications.
However, it has long been known about the benefits of nanoparticles of noble metals – gold and silver, which are neutralizers of various chemical transformations. Silver has long been used to combat a wide range of microorganisms, having an antimicrobial effect. But scientists are just getting close to unraveling the incredible properties of ultra-small gold nanoclusters.
