Lithuania, Latvia and Poland consider Belarus to be involved in the formation of the migration crisis. Lukashenko stressed that Minsk will not restrain the flow of illegal immigrants because of the sanctions policy of European states. Maas announced his intention to continue discussing the topic of refugees and Belarus. He made a statement following the talks between the foreign ministers of the EU countries. Brussels was ready to react to the actions of Minsk.
“Therefore, on the table there are proposals to introduce new sanctions against Belarus, and very sensitive ones,” the Foreign Minister concluded.
