German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock has confirmed that she will arrive in Moscow next week on an official visit, TASS reports.
Speaking in French Brest, the head of the German Foreign Ministry noted that she intends to support the negotiations through all possible channels. According to her, the participation of EU representatives in various negotiation formats with Russia is important for Europe.
As Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has already reported, on January 18, Burbock will meet with Russian Minister Sergei Lavrov for the first time. The heads of the foreign ministries will discuss various issues, including the promotion of Russian initiatives on security guarantees.
Earlier, Zakharova said that Russia was looking forward to constructive cooperation with the new German government.
