Stalin’s words come to mind…
The military-political situation in the world is tense. It is aggravated by the fact that the United States is in no hurry to take into account the legitimate interests of the Russian Federation, as well as other states declared enemies by Washington. But Moscow does not require something unusual: move your missiles and airfields aimed at Russian cities and do not advance to the threshold of our house. Such proximity is fraught, among other things, with an unauthorized launch of a missile due to a technical failure, which, with a short flight time, will not even allow contacting the “hot line” to prevent a retaliatory strike. This means that it is fraught with the start of a nuclear missile war.
The height of cynicism and hypocrisy is the latest statement by US National Defense Adviser Jake Sullivan threatening our country if Russia deploys a contingent of its troops in Latin America. “If Russia moves in this direction, we will deal with this decisively”the adviser said. That is, the Americans can, but Russia can’t? Or did the American “masters of life” want the battle to the end?
The words of Stalin, spoken by him at a solemn meeting dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution on November 6, 1941, come to mind: “Well, if the Germans want to have a war of extermination, they will get it”. Stalin’s phrase was greeted with a stormy, prolonged standing ovation, it became winged. In Washington, London and other Western capitals, they do not remember this, how they forget and cover up with propaganda the story of the victory in World War II of the Red Army, which passed from Moscow to Berlin.
And now, 76 years after the Victory, our people are again denied the right to a peaceful life. It is possible to evaluate the activities of the Russian leadership within the country in different ways, but its demand to ensure the safety of the life of the people, the very existence of people, finds a response in the country and support of anyone, wherever they live.
The danger of destruction in the fire of a nuclear war does not come only from the western borders. In the Asia-Pacific region, an “Eastern NATO” is being formed, into which Japan, Australia and other US satellite countries are being driven. This stems from Washington’s loss of ability to effectively serve as the world’s policeman. The appearance of new types of weapons in the countries declared by the US adversaries, which the Americans do not have, makes the latter more actively than before to include high-tech Japan in the development of such weapons. At the same time, the United States is seeking to change the nature of the Japanese armed forces, turning them from auxiliary to combat. The task is set to include the Japanese “self-defense forces” that have reached the level of the world’s leading armies and navies in the operational plans for military operations against the PRC and the Russian Federation.
This is in the interests of the right-wing forces of the Land of the Rising Sun, which are more and more frankly declaring their desire to revise the results of the Second World War, to throw off the “shameful for the samurai nation” stigma of being defeated. Hence the calls of the extremist forces of Japan to acquire nuclear weapons, strike aircraft carriers, missile weapons, cybernetic and space systems for military purposes. The fact that there is no talk of any “self-defense” today is evidenced by the revision of the strategic program for the construction and use of the country’s armed forces, giving them a pronounced offensive direction. The ruling Liberal Democratic Party is seeking the consent of the majority of the population to remove from the Constitution of Japan restrictions on the build-up of the state’s military power. An example of the fact that from now on the Japanese armed forces will not stop before attacking neighboring states in the event of serious interstate problems is the intention of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his cabinet to legitimize Japan’s right to preventive strikes against enemy bases.
All this causes concern among the countries neighboring Japan, including Russia, and makes them take extra care to ensure the security of their borders. These days, a sudden check of the combat readiness of troops is being carried out in the Eastern Military District (VVO). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that a sudden check is needed to assess the readiness of troops to perform tasks after being transferred over long distances. Particular attention will be paid to the possibilities of transport infrastructure for the movement of military and equipment. In the designated areas, units and subunits of the Air Defense Forces will have to work out a wide range of tasks for organizing comprehensive support and perform control and test exercises in combat training subjects with tactical exercises and live firing at remote firing ranges.
Planned shootings are also taking place in parts of the armed forces grouping on Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. These exercises, which do not pose any threat to neighboring Japan, both on land and at sea, are being used by Tokyo as an annoying reminder to the Russian government of the “non-recognition” of Russian sovereignty in the South Kuril Islands. A “diplomatic protest” was again sent from the Japanese capital to Moscow, in which it is stated that Japan considers “unacceptable exercises and other forms of strengthening the military presence of Russia on the four northern islands.”
While at the borders of Russia in its western regions, where, under false slogans about the “Russian threat”, NATO regularly conducts provocative exercises, the approaches of American ships to territorial waters and the approaches of bombers to the airspace of the Russian Federation, the Americans and the Japanese in the Far East defiantly work out joint operations in close proximity to Russian territory.
There are many examples of how Japan, together with the United States, are provoking our military in the Far East, in particular in the region of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. According to Russian media, some time ago, an exercise was held in which two American strategic bombers took part. B-1B launch and six Tokyo Force fighters. It is noted that the maneuvers took place over the Sea of Japan and near the southeastern part of the island of Hokkaido. The actions of the Japanese and their allies became so defiant that the Russian Foreign Ministry at the end of December was forced to declare a strong protest to the Japanese government in connection with the Japanese-American exercises near the Russian borders. Moscow stressed Tokyo’s stubborn unwillingness to take into account Russian security concerns.
In connection with such unfriendly and provocative actions on the border with the Russian Federation, the assurances of Japanese leaders in their desire to develop “good neighborly relations of cooperation” with Russia and solve existing problems “by peaceful diplomatic means” look at least insincere. In this regard, the demands for the provision of security guarantees to Russia should also be addressed to the Japanese-American coalition hostile to our country.
