Former general director of red-and-white Shamil Gazizov told the details of the failed transfer of the striker to Roma.
Gazizov reported that ex-Spartak player Kokorin could find himself in Roma, and not in Fiorentina, where he later moved. Gazizov said that the initiative to transfer Kokorin to Roma came from him. This is reported by “SE” with reference to Gazizov.
According to Gazizov, the striker could have been sold to Roma for 5-7 million euros. It was possible to earn money immediately, but such a pittance for Spartak is an “uninteresting case,” Gazizov said.
Gazizov spoke positively about Kokorin and said that he was a “great quality footballer”, and also suggested that the Russian had “not yet said everything in the RPL.”
