Frenchman Gasly became the winner of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Italy for the first time

Frenchman Pierre Gasly from Alpha Tauri team won the Formula 1 stage for the first time in his career, Interfax reports.

Gasli became the winner of the eighth stage of the "royal races" of the Italian Grand Prix at the circuit in Monza.

Second place went to Spaniard Carlos Sainz, driving for McLaren, and third - Canadian Lance Stroll (Racing Point).

Russian Daniil Kvyat, who is Gasli's teammate, finished ninth.

Earlier it was reported that the race was suspended on lap 24 due to an accident involving Ferrari driver Charles Leclair.
