France finally approves the introduction of a vaccine pass

Deputies of the National Assembly of France on Sunday evening approved a draft law on the transformation of sanitary passes into vaccines, Interfax reports.

It is reported that the document was approved by 215 votes, 58 legislators spoke out against it, seven abstained.

The day before, the Senate also approved the draft law in the second reading with 187 votes in favor, 66 against and 88 abstentions.

Earlier it was reported that the French government decided to introduce a “vaccine pass” from January 15, if it is approved by Parliament. The country has recorded its highest daily COVID-19 case rate since the start of the pandemic.

Earlier, the official representative of the French Cabinet Gabriel Attal said that the situation with coronavirus in the country is critical.
