Forward of the Russian youth ice hockey team Yegor Chinakhov will miss the World Championship group stage match against the Swedish team, the press service of the FHR reports.
It is known that the forward was injured in the first period of the meeting against the Austrian national team, in which the Russian hockey players won with a score of 7: 1.
After the match, the head coach of the national team Igor Larionov said that Chinakhov’s participation in the match against the Swedes was in doubt.
Recall that the meeting of the youth teams of Russia and Sweden will take place on December 31 at 5:30 Moscow time.
At the moment, the Russians have guaranteed themselves access to the playoffs. In case of victory over the Swedes, the Russian national team will take first place in group B.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian striker of the American club “Tampa Bay Lightning” Nikita Kucherov successfully underwent hip surgery. At the same time, the forward will miss the NHL regular season.
