Former US presidential candidate dies of coronavirus

Former US presidential candidate Herman Kane died after contracting coronavirus. This is reported on the website of the politician.

"Herman Kane, our boss, a friend who was almost a father to many of us, has passed away," Kane's spokesman Dan Calabriz told the portal.

It is clarified that the politician was taken to the hospital on July 1, he was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Herman Kane was 74 years old. He had previously dealt with stage 4 cancer. Kane ran for the 2011 Republican campaign. For a while, he led the polls, but then due to accusations of harassment, the politician had to leave the fight for the presidency.

He worked as a top manager of fast food companies and as head of one of the divisions of the Federal Reserve System.

Earlier it was reported that in the United States, a 9-year-old girl died after contracting coronavirus.
