Former Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that now it is dangerous for the West to call for an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In his opinion, Russia should not be given a respite, because if Moscow can restore its strength, it will then try to seize Poland. He said this on the air of Polskie Radio.

He added that if the conflict ends now, it will mean “the legalization of the annexation of Ukrainian lands.”

“But the worst-case scenario is related to the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye, which is now under Russian occupation. The Russians will be able to redirect the flow of electricity to the Crimea or the Russian Federation,” Vashchikovsky said.

He also said that Russia continues to plunder the grain, which is located in the territories of Ukraine, captured by Russian troops.

The end of the conflict on the territory of Ukraine, according to Waszczykowski, will allow the Russian Federation to take up the annexation of Belarus, Georgia, and Poland. All these territories, in his opinion, Moscow considers its own and will try to return them under its control at any opportunity.
