Former IBU head Besseberg found guilty of concealing doping samples of Russian biathletes

Today, the press service of the International Biathlon Alliance (IBU) has released a report from the Self-Enforcing Commission (ERC), which deals with a case related to possible corruption in the old leadership of the organization.

Former IBU head Besseberg found guilty of concealing doping samples of Russian biathletes

After an investigation by the self-enforcing commission, ex-IBU President Anders Besseberg, as well as his secretary, Nicole Resch, were found guilty of receiving bribes for concealing positive doping tests of athletes from Russia.

“… Citizen Besseberg and Ms Resch have episodes asking for an answer for a violation of the IBU rules, based on the obvious protection of Russia’s interests, unusual in an anti-doping context,” reads the notice posted on the IBU official website.
