Moscow is expanding the list of British citizens who will be banned from entering Russia. This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It is clarified that such measures are a response to the UK sanctions imposed in connection with the incident with Alexei Navalny.
The department stressed that the actions of the British authorities are “unconstructive and unfriendly”, and sanctions against a number of Russians who are allegedly involved in the incident are unacceptable.
The extended list includes those who are involved in “escalating anti-Russian sanctions activity,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The corresponding note was presented to the British Ambassador to Moscow, Deborah Bronnert. Today she arrived at the ministry and stayed there for about 40 minutes, TASS notes. Leaving the building, the diplomat declined to comment to reporters.
