Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov held telephone talks, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
The ministry said that the ministers discussed the implementation of the trilateral agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia dated November 9 last year and January 11 this year.
In addition, the foreign ministers touched upon issues of foreign policy interaction, including in the UN and OSCE. During the talks, the sides also discussed bilateral cooperation between the countries.
Recall, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Karabakh on November 9, 2020. On January 11, Vladimir Putin, Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan agreed to create a working group at the level of the vice-prime ministers of the three countries, which will deal with the establishment of transport and economic ties in the region.
