Fiji reports no new coronavirus cases for 150 days in a row

Fiji Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama said that not a single new case of coronavirus infection among the population was registered in the state for 150 days in a row. He wrote about this on Twitter.

According to Bainimarama, a corresponding positive momentum was achieved thanks to the strong response to the pandemic, as well as careful border control.

On the eve of the World Health Organization recorded a record increase in the number of people infected with a new type of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. It was reported that about 308 thousand infected patients were identified in the world per day.

Meanwhile, the total number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in the world has exceeded 29 million. For all the time, more than 19.6 million patients have recovered, 924 105 patients have died.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin assessed the danger of COVID-19 in the fall. According to him, the threat of coronavirus in the country still persists.
