Two-time world and European champion, Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva will not perform at the first stage of the Russian Cup in Syzran of the season, TASS reports.
According to the Russian Figure Skating Federation, the athlete will not be able to take part in the competition due to health problems.
Last Wednesday, it became known that Medvedev returned to coach Eteri Tutberidze. At the test skates, which took place in Moscow last weekend, the skater experienced health problems.
Recall that Medvedeva trained under Tutberidze from 2007 to 2018. For the past two years, the athlete has worked with Canadian coach Brian Orser.
Earlier it was reported that the current European champion Alena Kostornaya will not perform at the test skates of the national figure skating team with a free program.
