Lokomotiv forward Fyodor Smolov arrived in Rome, where he had already undergone surgery. Intervention was required after an old shoulder injury.
As stated on the official website of the Moscow club, the player was tormented by an old injury received back in 2018. Fedor Smolov is due to return to Moscow on Friday, December 4, after which he will begin the process of recovering from another injury sustained in the match against Dynamo, which was lost 1: 5.
Lokomotiv’s message does not mention the timing of Smolov’s return to service. It is possible that the striker will no longer play for his team until the end of 2020.
Lokomotiv forward Ze Luis was also out of action after Fyodor Smolov. During the match against Red Bull Salzburg, he broke one of the bones of his foot, as a result of which the athlete was also sent for surgery. The player will return to the team no earlier than January 2021.
It was previously reported that Fyodor Smolov’s operation is not related to his injuryreceived in the match against Dynamo.
