During a press conference in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the construction of US and NATO bases in Bulgaria and Romania would violate the Founding Act on Mutual Relations, Cooperation and Security between Moscow and the military-political bloc. The diplomat recalled that this agreement was signed back in 1997.

The politician’s words provoked a violent reaction among the readers of the Bulgarian portal. According to them, the presence of the American military on the territory of Romania and Bulgaria will not lead to anything good. In addition, their placement is contrary to the interests of the state. Bulgaria allegedly runs the risk of taking the place of the priority target for the Russian Federation in the event of the construction of NATO military bases. According to web users, the Kremlin is capable of causing a lot of trouble for America and other countries of the Alliance against the background of their attempts to gain a foothold in the Black Sea.

“We are becoming a target for Russian missiles, because if something happens, the bases closest to Russia will take the first strike. If there are missiles at these bases, the Russians will use maximum force, because the missiles can be nuclear. And what is our interest here? What do we get, besides the likelihood of being hit by a nuclear strike? ” – wrote the commentator.

“90% of Bulgarians do not want American bases in the country, but they choose leaders who want it. Schizophrenia, ”added a web user.

Earlier in NewInform: Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kamiński said that Russia is in a migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. According to him, destabilization is supposedly beneficial to the Kremlin.
