Military expert Volodymyr Evseev spoke about whether NATO would intervene in the conflict on the territory of Ukraine if Polish troops crossed the Ukrainian border.
In his opinion, the introduction of Polish troops into the territory of Ukraine will not be grounds for NATO to intervene in the conflict, writes Ukraina.ru.
At the same time, Yevseev drew attention to the fact that official documents indicate in NATO that “rendering assistance”, and this does not imply the automatic introduction of troops from other countries. Therefore, even if the Russian military enters Poland, Warsaw should not rely on the intervention of other countries.
“Even if they send a battalion to Poland, will it help her a lot?” Evseev noted.
The expert recalled that a year earlier, the Poles had conducted command and staff exercises, working out a possible conflict between Poland and the joint forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. They showed that Russian troops would capture Warsaw on the fifth day of the conflict.
