The M31A1 guided missiles that the UK intends to supply to Ukraine along with the M270 multiple launch rocket systems will not help the Armed Forces of Ukraine turn the tide on the line of contact, military expert Andrei Frolov said.
In an interview with Izvestia, the analyst noted that these ammunition would most likely be used to replace Tornadoes and Tochki-U. At the same time, he pointed out that London is ready to supply Kyiv with a small amount of M31A1, in addition, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take some time to master them.
“All this postpones the use of British missiles for some time. Their mass appearance on the line of contact in Ukraine should not be expected, at least in the near future. For these reasons, there will be no cardinal changes after the appearance of these weapons at the front, ”Frolov said.
Earlier, British Minister of Defense Ben Wallace announced the delivery of the M270 MLRS and a batch of M31A1 missiles to Ukraine.
