Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to the current head of state Volodymyr Zelensky with a request to let him out of the country. The corresponding appeal appeared in Poroshenko’s telegram channel.
He noted that his trip as part of the official parliamentary delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly was disrupted. According to the ex-president, he was going to defend the provision of Ukraine with an action plan for membership in the Alliance.
Poroshenko pointed to the presence of an official invitation from the president of the European People’s Party, a business trip, signed by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
Earlier, SM-News news agency wrote that Poroshenko tried to leave the country for Poland for the second time. The former president of Ukraine arrived at a checkpoint in the Lviv region, where he was stopped by patrol police.
