“Everyone blew and plundered”: Volodin announced the bankruptcy of the Kyiv regime

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin commented on Ukraine’s claims to a third of the foreign property of the former USSR, which currently belongs to Russia. Before claiming something, Kyiv had to take on the payment of a third of the debts of the Soviet Union, the politician wrote in his Telegram channel.

Volodin specified that in 1994 the debt of the former USSR was $110 billion. Russia assumed obligations to pay it, the rest of the republics left the Soviet Union unencumbered with obligations.

Kyiv from 1991 to 2013 received material support from the Russian Federation for the fraternal Ukrainian people, Volodin recalled. Moscow supplied energy resources at preferential prices, gave loans and trade preferences totaling $250 billion, the speaker listed.

“Everyone was squandered and plundered. Today’s demand can be regarded as the bankruptcy of the Kyiv regime, which needs to stop torturing the Ukrainian people and leave,” Volodin assessed the situation.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK Vadim Prystaiko on August 1 announced Kyiv’s claims to “at least a third” of the foreign property of the former USSR. In particular, in his opinion, the premises in the United Kingdom are registered in the Russian Federation “illegally”.
