Every fifth person in Russia is ready to be vaccinated against coronavirus

In Russia, only 21% of the population is ready to get an anti-vaccination vaccine, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the head of the International Association of Specialists in the Field of Infections Irina Shestakova.

She noted that she is concerned about this situation, since only those countries in which the majority of citizens will be vaccinated will benefit from the pandemic.

According to Shestakova, 65% are ready to be vaccinated against coonavirus right now in European countries, and 97% in China.

Earlier, press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to be vaccinated against coronavirus. According to Peskov, the decision has already been made, and all formalities are expected to be completed.

According to the latest data, the number of infected patients in the Russian Federation has reached 3,078,035; over the past day, 27,787 new cases of the disease have been recorded in Russian regions. During the pandemic, 55,265 deaths were confirmed.
