It became known that they tried to burn down the rink where Eteri Tutberidze trains athletes.
On Wednesday night, an unknown attacker made an attempt to set fire to a Moscow sports complex on Profsoyuznaya Street. It is in this sports complex that the Khrustalny skating rink is located, on which a group of figure skaters trains under the guidance of Eteri Tutberidze.
Whether the arsonist sought to destroy the skating rink is not yet known. The Telegram channel Baza published a video from a surveillance camera, which recorded how a man dressed in an orange robe approached the building, doused the window with a combustible mixture from a bottle and set it on fire.
And he had to go back and do it a second time – only after that the building caught fire. Puffs of smoke poured out of it, but, fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished. According to one version, the arson was done to destroy the polling station. According to another, the attacker wanted to burn the ice rink.
The president of the Sambo-70 sports and education center, Renat Laishev (the center owns a skating rink), suggested that “some crazy fan of figure skating” could have committed the crime. This is reported by the publication Argumenti.ru with reference to MK-Sport.
