British Queen Elizabeth II will not take part in the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Glasgow, reports TASS.
The opening of the event will take place on October 31. At Buckingham Palace, it was reported that the Queen would not be attending the evening reception scheduled for November 1.
“Her Majesty is disappointed that she will not participate in the reception, but she will address the assembled delegates via a recorded video message,” the statement says.
It is noted that 95-year-old Elizabeth II, on the recommendation of doctors, carries out non-burdensome duties from her residence.
Earlier it was reported that Elizabeth II for the first time after hospitalization appeared in public. On October 26, she held two virtual audiences.
Recall that on October 20, the Queen canceled her visit to Northern Ireland and, on the advice of doctors, went to the hospital for a medical examination. After a night at the hospital, she returned to Windsor Castle.
