The leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the elections to the State Duma. Chairman of the Central Committee of the party made speeches at a joint press conference Gennady Zyuganov, his deputies Yuri Afonin and Dmitry Novikov, as well as secretaries of the Central Committee Maria Drobot and Alexander Yushchenko… All of them agreed that the support of the communists in society has grown noticeably, but one should not fully trust the results of the vote.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation, according to official data, after processing 99.67% of the vote, has now received 18.96%. This is noticeably higher than five years ago, when the Communist Party had 13.34% – just 0.2% more than the LDPR. “The Communist Party, together with the left-patriotic forces, successfully participated in these elections. This is due to the fact that we were the only ones who presented a full-fledged program, a development budget and 12 laws that help the country to get out of the systemic crisis, ”Gennady Zyuganov explained the secret of success in the elections.
The party leader also drew attention to the fact that in a number of regions the Communist Party of the Russian Federation has noticeably approached the result of “United Russia” (in the whole country it has 49.84%), and in some regions it even won.
For example, in Yakutia, the Communist Party has 35.15%, while the United Russia has 33.22%. The result of the party in Moscow looked especially encouraging for the briefing (29.67% for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and 29.12% for United Russia after counting 67% in the ballots). True, by the time this article was written, Moscow had managed to calculate 99.8%, and the result has changed a lot – 36.98% for the United Russia and 22.66% for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
“For the first time, there was no generation gap in these elections. Young people, the middle generation, and the older generation voted for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Moreover, young people under 35 practically did not vote through the so-called electronic system. Young people came to the polling stations and supported us, ”Yuri Afonin noted.
However, there are regions where, according to Zyuganov, something unthinkable happened. For example, in the Bryansk region. There, the favorite party of the Kremlin has as much as 64.32%, while the Communist Party of the Russian Federation has only 13.79%. And if the results in the national republics are already surprising to few, then the colossal support of the United Russia in Central Russia really looks strange.
Another misunderstanding is that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, as a party, gained more votes in the capital than the United Russia Party, but the Communist candidates could not win in any single-mandate constituency. This is despite the fact that two years ago the candidates from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation took 13 mandates out of 45. The fault, according to party leaders, was electronic voting, which is very different from the results obtained from the polling stations.
“They would have won (candidates from the Communist Party – SP) if this notorious electronic voting system had not been introduced. We do not recognize the electronic voting system, and in the Moscow version, this system began to be reduced only now in the morning, although in other regions all the results were known yesterday evening, ”Yuri Afonin said.
“We not only do not recognize (the results of the DEG – JV), we will ask, together with experts, to investigate all these facts, because this is unacceptable, especially since this is done directly in Moscow as the capital of our state,” Zyuganov said.
According to Dmitry Novikov, the Communist Party intends to defend the election results, including through a mass protest. “We have a plan ready. In the coming days we will hold a meeting of the Presidium of the Central Committee. We will conduct a council with all regional offices via videoconference. We will hold a council of left-wing patriotic forces. We are ready to hold an all-Russian protest action, ”said the deputy head of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. According to him, the protest action is likely to take place on Saturday and Sunday, and in a number of regions in the coming days.
Previously head of the Moscow city branch of the Communist Party Valery Rashkin wrote on social networks that it is necessary to take to the streets on Monday. The application for the rally was submitted earlier, on September 6. However, the action was not approved by the mayor’s office. Formally, because of the covid. A video appeared on the Internet of how law enforcement officers are being pulled into the center of the capital.
