In the Krasnodar Territory on September 11, early voting for the election of the governor began. Political analyst Dmitry Gusev told Kuban 24 TV channel about the election campaign in the region.
Gusev said that federal and local experts following the course of the campaign are unanimous in their assessments - it took place calmly, legitimately and within the legal framework. According to the political strategist, the Krasnodar Territory is a region with a traditionally high turnout.
At the same time, the specialist emphasized that the campaign in the Krasnodar Territory has some peculiarities.
“Most importantly, it began in conditions of social pessimism - the quarantine caused by the coronavirus pandemic had just ended. And this pessimism could be reflected in the voting. But the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory, introducing restrictive measures, understood their result - every effort was made to prevent the pandemic from spreading, although the holiday season opened with a delay. The Kuban leadership managed to turn pessimism into social activity, which will affect both the election results and the turnout, ”Gusev said.
Gusev noted that today in society there is a great demand for stability - it is important for people to understand how they will live in the future, what the prospects will be, how the economy and social sphere will develop.
According to the political consultant, not all candidates were able to present such an economic agenda, so they used a different strategy.
“The party activists were involved with a backlog of elections to the State Duma-2021, parties were promoting candidates with plans for good ratings next year. In addition, the parties were involved in municipal elections, because there are dozens of local companies in the Krasnodar Territory, ”the political strategist noted.
In conclusion, Dmitry Gusev announced his forecast for the turnout in the Krasnodar Territory. According to him, it will be comparable to the turnout at the All-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution. In the Krasnodar Territory, according to the expert, unprecedented measures have been taken to ensure that the elections are comfortable and safe for every voter.
Earlier, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, announced the full readiness of the Russian electoral system for a single voting day on September 13 and for the two previous days.
Let's remind that September 13 will be the main voting day, and early voting will take place on September 11 and 12. Elections at various levels will be held in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, based on their results, about 77,000 seats will be replaced.
