The current governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, won the election for the head of the region. 83.61% of voters voted for him, writes TASS.
It is noted that after the Leningrad Regional Electoral Commission processed 100% of the ballots, the turnout for the elections of the governor of the Leningrad Region was 51.52% (701,167 people). The second place was taken by Andrey Lebedev, 7.30% voted for him, the third - Alexander Perminov (4.57%).
By law, a candidate must receive at least 50 percent of the vote to win the governor's election.
Earlier, Drozdenko noted that elections for the head of the region in the region were held openly. According to him, the election campaign was distinguished by the fact that there was not a single direct campaign for the current regional head.
Earlier it was reported that the current governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, after processing 99.12 percent of the protocols, gained 83.09% of the vote.
