Dominican authorities extended state of emergency due to coronavirus until December

The authorities of the Dominican Republic have extended the state of emergency by 45 days to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country, El Nacional reports.

According to the newspaper, the corresponding decision comes into force on October 18.

The curfew is being extended in the republic. Transport and shops will also be switched to reduced working hours.

According to the latest data, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in the country has reached 120 450 people, 2 192 patients have died.

Earlier, the chief allergist-immunologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Rakhim Khaitov, said that almost 90% of those infected with coronavirus in Russia recently returned from vacation.
