Prefix manufacturing process
It is necessary to cut a plate from sheet steel, approximately 150×250 mm. The corner of the part is cut off to weld the clamp.
The fastening clamp is provided from a piece of pipe. A ring from it must be cut lengthwise, and welded onto the edges of the nut, baited onto the bolt.
The clamp is welded onto the plate.
The corner of the plate opposite the clamp must be cut out by removing the 50 mm wide rectangular part. Then you need to prepare a strip, 50×150 mm.
A pivot mechanism such as a door hinge is welded from the strip and trim. A hole is drilled in its short sash for an M10 bolt, and a thread is cut in it. On the contrary, a large hole is drilled in the second half.
The loop must be screwed to the clamp plate. Next, you need to put a gas shock absorber on the workpiece. To fix it, holes are drilled in the hinge and the main plate.
On the longitudinal side of the bed from the side of the clamp, a side stop from sheet steel is welded.
Then 3 legs are bent from the profile pipe, and welded as in the photo.
Now you have to make a support table for placing parts during grinding. To do this, a small section of a profile tube is welded onto the side plate. The table itself is made of sheet steel. To attach to the tube, a pin from an 8 mm square bar must be welded to it.
The drive roller of the machine is made of steel pipe. To fasten it, you will need to put a washer on the grinder’s spindle, and screw on an elongated M14 nut. The washer and nut are welded. Then the mount is welded into the tube.
The driven roller can be made from a 32 mm polypropylene pipe. A short spacer made of 25 mm pipe is placed in it. Bearings are pressed in on the sides. Then the roller is pulled together with an M10 stud and nuts.
Finished parts can be painted.
Then we clamp the grinder on the bed with a clamp, put a loop, a shock absorber.
The driving roller is screwed onto the grinder’s spindle, and the driven roller is installed in the loop.
Thus, the latter will be supported by a shock absorber. After that, you can install the tape and use the machine for its intended purpose.
By tightening or unscrewing the shock absorber mounting bolt on the hinge, you can change the angle of the driven roller, thereby adjusting the position of the belt. The machine works in a vertical and horizontal position.
