It became known that today the director of such legendary films as “Shadows Disappear at Noon” and “Eternal Call” Vladimir Krasnopolsky passed away. He was 89 years old. The causes of death have not yet been reported. The Union of Cinematographers confirmed the sad news.
“In the 90th year of life, our friend and colleague, a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, People’s Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR and the Lenin Komsomol Prize, holder of the orders “Badge of Honor”, “Order of Honor”, “For Services to the Fatherland” passed away (IV and III degrees), feature film director Vladimir Arkadyevich Krasnopolsky,” the message says.
During his creative life, Krasnopolsky made many films and serials. He could not imagine himself without a profession and he himself joked that if he had not become a director, he probably would have hanged himself. Vladimir Arkadievich was married, and now his wife Vanda is 85 years old. All their lives they were together. The couple has an adult son and daughter.
