Details of the telephone conversation between Putin and Lukashenko became known

The presidents of the Russian Federation and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, had a telephone conversation, according to the website of the Russian president.

In particular, they discussed the migration situation on the borders of Belarus with the EU countries. Serious concern was expressed over the brutal actions of the Polish border guards.

Lukashenko also informed about the steps taken by Minsk to de-escalate the migration crisis. The Presidents of Russia and Belarus noted the importance of establishing cooperation between Minsk and the European Union to resolve the problem.

Earlier it was reported that Lukashenka proposed to create a humanitarian corridor to Germany for refugees. Presidential press secretary Natalia Eismont noted that the EU has not yet fulfilled its obligations. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany announced that they would not accept refugees from the Polish-Belarusian border.
