The playoff matches of the men’s curling world championship in Calgary, Canada have been suspended indefinitely due to the detection of cases of infection with coronavirus, it is reported on the website of the World Curling Federation.
All teams participating in this stage of the tournament must be tested for COVID-19 on Saturday morning.
The federation noted that further games will not be held until the test results are known and it becomes clear that the athletes are safe.
According to the portal Sportsnet, two cases have been identified in teams that did not make the playoffs.
Recall that teams from Canada, Russia, USA, Switzerland, Sweden and Scotland are participating in this stage of the competition.
